The Mill Valley line at a glance
Mill Valley is a Hampton Bay modular sectional from Home Depot, and it illustrates the sectional replacement problem perfectly: four rectangular base pads plus a curved-corner wedge whose front edge is 27 inches but whose back edge stretches to 72 — a trapezoid no standard cushion catalog has ever stocked. When the original 6-inch pads flatten, the whole sectional reads as tired.
We cut every Mill Valley piece to the dimensions below — rectangles and the tapered wedge alike — in cotton linen, tech fabric, or premium velvet, cut and sewn where they ship from. These figures are owner-measured, so treat them as approximate: confirm against your own pads before ordering, or send us a paper template of the wedge and we’ll match it exactly.
Check three things: (1) the white label under the seat frame or inside the arm — Hampton Bay model numbers usually start with a supplier code like GLD or THD; (2) your Home Depot order history or the original manual; (3) a tape measure — four 25" × 27" base pads on 6" loft around a 27"-front / 72"-back tapered wedge. Our full measuring guide walks you through it.
Sectional logic: rotating four identical pads, templating the wedge
A sectional wears unevenly by design — the corner seat collects the traffic, the end pad takes the sun. Mill Valley’s four base pads are identical 25 × 27 × 6 rectangles, which is the quiet advantage of modular furniture: rotate them. Swap the corner pad with an end pad once a season and the whole sectional ages at the same rate, stretching years between re-orders. No one-piece loveseat offers that option. On seat height, six inches of foam sits you noticeably higher than the 4-to-5-inch norm — a feature on a sectional, where guests rise from it easily — but it also means height is lost slowly as the foam compresses, so slowly that nobody notices until a guest mentions it.
For the wedge, three numbers decide everything: front width (27), back width (72), depth (27). Measure the frame’s front rail and back rail separately — the 45-inch difference between them is the curve itself, and it is why no stock cushion catalog has ever carried this piece. If your tape disagrees with our figures by more than an inch, the reliable route is a paper template: butcher paper laid on the pad shelf, pencil around the frame, then photograph it flat with a tape measure in frame. We cut to the template, curve included.
Fabric on a modular build rewards one decision made early: a single color across pads and wedge keeps the L reading as one sculptural line. Solution-dyed olefin holds its color through the sun exposure a corner section takes, and Deep green or Beige both do this quietly. Directional stripes fight a curved wedge — if you want pattern, keep it on the rectangles and cut the wedge solid. And after a soaking, stand each pad on edge against the house wall rather than laying it flat — a 25 × 27 face dries in half the time, and the wedge deserves the same treatment on its longest edge.

Measure before you order
Measure first: three minutes with our measuring guide — on a sectional, measure every module and both edges of the wedge: front and back widths differ by 45 inches on this line, and one number is not enough to cut a trapezoid.
Closest Hampton Bay neighbors in the measured database: Beachside (the Beachside section) and Riley (the Riley sectional) — each with its own dimension chart. Every series we have measured sits in the Hampton Bay replacement cushions database.
Fabric options
Same custom-fit dimensions, every fabric one price. Cotton linen is the durable everyday pick; tech fabric is water-resistant and wipes clean; premium velvet delivers the high-end look and stands up to cat claws.
Comparing tiers side by side? The fabric tiers in the order flow— the cut is identical, every fabric one price.
