The Honest Route for Ashley Frames
Ashley Furniture Industries is one of the largest furniture makers in the American market — living room sets, sectionals, dining rooms, and an outdoor line, sold through a wide dealer network. Scale in furniture does not translate into a parts business in cushions: when the cushions on an Ashley sofa or patio set wear out, there is no standing catalog of matching spares behind the sale.
The honest version: Ashley publishes no piece-by-piece cushion database, and neither does anyone else — the official parts channel is a closed form: model and serial number in, human reply out. What we have done is chart the eight highest-volume series from dealer and retailer spec sheets, cross-checked across multiple sources and labeled with where each figure comes from: TAMBO, OMAHA, LUXORA, STUPENDOUS, ALENYA, DARCY, LARCE, RAWCLIFFE. Every other series — and every custom recover — still runs on the route that never fails: we cut to your measurements. Your tape measure beats any chart, ours included. For Ashley couches and sectionals specifically, the couch cushion replacement sets page walks the same measured route piece by piece.
Ashley outdoor patio set? Switch the customizer to outdoor fabrics → — solution-dyed acrylics over 50D-plus foam. T-cushion seats: T-Cushion presets. All 11 shapes: start from scratch.
Measured indexes exist for brands with published OEM dimensions: Hampton Bay · Martha Stewart · IKEA — and for eight Ashley series charted from dealer-published figures, linked below.
Ashley Series With Published Measurements — 8 Charted
- TAMBO — 2-piece manual reclining sectional (pewter); 117″ frame, 22″ seat depth charted
- OMAHA — modular Nuvella sectional; 27″ seat depth, 44×44″ corner modules charted
- LUXORA — 4-piece sectional with chaise; 129×100″ frame and the 36×67″ chaise module charted
- STUPENDOUS — Alloy jumbo-cord sectional; 2–6 piece configs, feather-blend rebuild notes
- ALENYA — sofa & queen sleeper; three boxed seats, 22″ depth charted
- DARCY — sofa & sofa chaise; loose seats, 62″ between-arms run charted
- LARCE — 4-piece Nuvella sectional; deep 27″ seats charted
- RAWCLIFFE — ultra-deep modular sectional; 131×131″ frame, reversible-cushion rebuild notes
Figures compiled from dealer and retailer spec sheets, cross-checked across multiple sources; each series page labels its sources and flags the uncertain ones (two sources disagree by an inch, it says so). Not an Ashley-published database — and not guesses either.
Pricing — estimated starting at
| Fabric — all one price | Estimated price* |
|---|---|
| Cotton Linen | $168 |
| Tech Fabric | $168 |
| Premium Velvet | $168 |
*One sofa seat block (24 × 24 × 5 in.): $45 make-base + 4.0 sq ft × rate ($30.79 per sq ft, 5" 50D foam + fabric, all 119 fabrics one price). We publish the formula so you can check the math before you order.
Sectionals are per-block multiples — count the blocks, measure every distinct size; dining squares and patio pieces price on their own area.
Indoor Ashley vs Outdoor Ashley — Different Specs
| Indoor sofas & sectionals | Outdoor patio sets | |
|---|---|---|
| Typical failure | Foam compression — dished seats, limp fiber backs | Fabric fade and waterlogging before foam death |
| Universal-market fit | Poor — T-cushions, blocks, attached backs | Fair on standard dining squares only |
| Replacement spec | 45–60D foam cores; fiber or foam backs by loft | Solution-dyed acrylic covers; 50D-plus foam |
Identify which half of the line your piece is from before ordering — the fill and fabric specs are different jobs. The comparison behind those choices: custom sofa cushions (indoor) and custom outdoor cushions (patio).
Mismatch with the chart? The chart loses — your measurements win.
Find Your Ashley Series

- The sales receipt or order confirmation — series names and item numbers live there; the strongest identifier, and what a dealer would ask for.
- The law tag and frame tags — under the seat or on the frame. Item numbers on these tags identify the piece when the receipt is long gone.
- The manual or product page, if the set is recent — current listings sometimes show cushion dimensions in the spec section. Record them now: the page retires with the set.
Then measure — seam to seam, every distinct block, the T-cushion notch sketched and labeled. The full method: our three-step measuring guide; the notched-seat walkthrough: how to measure a T-cushion sofa.
Rather have a human start it? Email your model number (a photo of the tag is even better) to hello@cushionmill.com — we reply with the measuring checklist for your type of piece, and the numbers you send back go straight to the cutting table.
How to Order Ashley Replacement Cushions by Model Number
Ordering by model number is the fastest route when the number survives, and it runs through two very different doors:
- Step 1 — find the number. The law tag under the seat and the tag sewn into the cushion seam carry the item number; the sales receipt or order confirmation is the stronger source when it survives; the assembly manual covers current sets. Photograph whichever you find before contacting anyone — a photo of the tag resolves in seconds what a typed description resolves in days.
- Step 2 — the official door. Ashley’s parts channel (ashleyfurniture.parts) takes a model and serial number in through a form and returns a human reply. It fits factory-exact while your series is still active; once the series rotates out, that channel has nothing to order, and HomeStore special-order covers stop at active collections too.
- Step 3 — the custom door. A custom workshop ignores the catalog entirely: the model number identifies the piece, it does not look up a part, and any size — discontinued, modified, or never charted anywhere — gets cut from your measurements.
No number anywhere? The measuring path replaces it in about fifteen minutes: seam to seam on every distinct block, the T-cushion notch sketched and labeled, per the three-step measuring guide — dimensions beat document archaeology every time. An honest limit on our side of the door: we cannot look your model number up for you — Ashley’s parts database is a closed form to us as well, so no number and no tag means the tape measure starts the order, not a lookup. Either door ends at the same bench: the eight charted series above cover the high-volume lines, and everything else runs custom from your numbers — open the customizer once the numbers are in hand.
Build Your Ashley Replacement Cushions
Start with the shape your piece actually is: rectangle for sofa and dining seat blocks, T-cushion for seats that extend under the arms, L-shape for sectional corner runs. Enter each block’s width, depth and thickness, pick the fabric, and order the whole set in one run.

Ashley Pieces We Cut For
- Sofa seat blocks — rectangle and T-cushion seats in 45–60D foam for daily family duty, ordered as one run so joins and fabric lots match.
- Sectional pieces — two or three block sizes per frame, counted and named as a floor plan before anything is measured; L-shape corners cut as one piece where the frame runs continuous.
- Dining chairs — seat pads and back pads priced on their own area, one fabric run across the set.
- Patio sets — the outdoor spec: solution-dyed acrylic covers over 50D-plus foam, cut to the same tape-measure numbers.

A few from the 119-fabric lineup — review the full set, zoomed, in the configurator first.
What Ashley actually sells (and what it doesn't)
Ashley’s official parts channel — ashleyfurniture.parts — stocks hardware: pulls, screws, bed bolts, ottoman legs, the occasional cover for current lines. What it does not stock is seat foam for sofas and sectionals, because Ashley never sold cushions as service parts. HomeStore showrooms can special-order covers for active collections; discontinued series have no channel at all. The model number the parts site asks for lives on the law tag under the seat or sewn into the cushion’s seam — photograph it before calling anyone, us included. Once the number confirms what you own, the route to new cushions is the one this page exists for: your measurements, our bench, cut to the frame Ashley built.
Frequently asked questions
Not as a standing catalog. Ashley sells complete furniture, not cushion spares: the official parts channel runs on a form — model and serial number in, human reply out — and a dealer can sometimes source a piece while your set is still in the active lineup. After the series rotates out, that channel has nothing to source, which is when a workshop that cuts to measurements becomes the replacement route.
Your Ashley model number lives on the law tag under the seat or sewn into the cushion seam, and the stronger source — the sales receipt or order confirmation — names the series and item number outright; current sets add the assembly manual and product page, worth recording now because the page retires with the set. If none of that survives, measuring the cushion directly beats document archaeology — about fifteen minutes with a tape measure replaces the number entirely.
Yes — custom-cut to your frame is the route that works for every Ashley sofa, current or discontinued: seat blocks, notched T-cushion seats, fiber backs with real loft, in 45–60D foam for daily family duty, one production run for the whole set so every block matches.
For eight series — yes: TAMBO, OMAHA, LUXORA, STUPENDOUS, ALENYA, DARCY, LARCE and RAWCLIFFE each have a dedicated page charting official and dealer-published dimensions, with sources and uncertainties labeled. For everything else the honest answer stands: no piece-by-piece database exists anywhere for Ashley series, so we cut to your measurements — your tape measure is the database. (Our Hampton Bay and Martha Stewart indexes remain the deepest, built on publicly verifiable OEM dimensions.)
From a $45 make-base plus area at per-sq-ft rates — a typical 24 × 24 × 5 sofa seat block runs about $168 in every fabric, so a three-seat couch with backs lands in the mid hundreds: a fraction of re-upholstery or a new sofa.
Yes — the customizer runs 11 shapes including T-cushion and L-shape, which is exactly where Ashley indoor lines live: count every distinct seat block, sketch the T-cushion notch, and order the set in one run so joins and fabric lots match.
Not as stand-alone slipcovers — the workshop builds complete replacement cushions: new high-resilience foam inside a fresh cover, cut to your frame. A cover alone cannot rescue collapsed foam, and Ashley never published piece-by-piece cushion specs, so a rebuild to measurements is the route that fits. If the foam is still firm and only the fabric has failed, Ashley’s own parts channel can special-order covers for some active collections — once a series retires, that door closes and the full rebuild becomes the practical fix.
Every set is made and shipped in 4–7 business days, with rush production at 3–5 business days. One production run cuts the whole order, so seat blocks, backs and any T-cushion notches match in loft and dye lot — and the ±½″ tolerance with the free remake guarantee travels with every piece.
