How to Measure a Lounge Chair Cushion
- Measure the deck end to end and front to back to the nearest quarter inch — on long loungers measure the width at both ends; decks taper more than they look from above.
- Thickness against seat height: 4–5 inches is the lounging spec; on low frames thicker starts to feel like climbing.
- Back pads: height from the deck to the top edge and the loft at bottom and top — reclined-angle backs are thicker at the bottom by design.
- On smooth decks, plan for an exact-fit cut — and a thin non-slip rug pad underneath if the lounger gets dragged around.

Can I order standard lounge chair cushion sizes?
Yes — standard sizes too, in 3 clicks: most lounge decks cluster at 70–74 inches long by 22–24 wide at 4–5 thick — type those numbers into the customizer for the same instant factory-direct quote. Length is where loungers wander, so the tape measure still pays.
What’s the difference between a lounge chair and a chaise lounge cushion?
The build direction: a chaise lounge runs long and vertical with a hinge or fold line where the back meets the seat (46–75 inches, usually hinged); a lounge chair is the low horizontal lounger — a deep deck, often backless or with a loose back pad. Different word families, different measuring jobs — the chaise build is on the chaise page.
Do you make outdoor lounge chair cushions?

Do you cut 77 × 24 or 80-inch lounge cushions?
Yes — any length. Fabric comes off the bolt at 54 inches, so long loungers get a planned seam across the width (stronger than two pieces abutting), and extra-long decks are confirmed with you before we cut. The 75–80 inch tails are where measuring earns its keep.
How thick should a lounge chair cushion be?
4–5 inches for lounging hours — the deck is for leaning back, not dining upright. On low-slung frames check the seat height first: every inch of cushion is an inch of climb.
How long does a custom cushion take?

Is a Custom Lounge Chair Cushion Right for You?
- Past 54 inches there is a planned seam. Fabric comes off the bolt at 54 inches, so 70–80 inch loungers get a sewn seam across the width — stronger than two pieces abutting, and confirmed with you before anything is cut. If an unbroken surface is the requirement, the physics of the bolt says otherwise.
- Machine washing is not on the menu. Every cover closes with a zipper around its foam, so the cleaning spec is a damp cloth and mild soap between washes — and a cover-off wash when due. A machine cycle is how a custom cushion dies years early.
- Unsure about color? Ask the factory first. Screens shift color and afternoon sun shifts it again. Send a photo of where the piece will live and we will tell you straight how each fabric reads in that spot — the two-minute email beats a wrong-color guess.
