The Pembrey line at a glance

Pembrey is a deep-seating Hampton Bay line from Home Depot — lounge chair, loveseat, chaise and a compact waterfall-front ottoman. Its quirk is the thickness mix: the lounge chair carries a plush 6-inch seat, the loveseat 5-inch seats, and the chaise reverses the usual ratio with a 5-inch seat under a slimmer 4-inch back. One line, three profiles — which is exactly how mis-orders happen.

We cut every Pembrey piece to the original factory dimensions below, profile by profile — waterfall ottoman included — in cotton linen, tech fabric, or premium velvet, made where they are shipped from.

Check three things: (1) the white label under the seat frame or inside the arm — Hampton Bay model numbers usually start with a supplier code like GLD or THD; (2) your Home Depot order history or the original manual; (3) a tape measure — a 6"-thick lounge seat, a chaise whose back (4") is thinner than its seat (5"), and a compact 19.5" waterfall ottoman. Our full measuring guide walks you through it.

Replacing a four-piece family in the right order

Pembrey shipped as a genuine four-piece family — lounge chair, loveseat, chaise, ottoman — and families rarely wear out evenly. In daily use the chaise tends to go first: it is the piece everyone claims for reading and napping, logging far more hours than its share. The ottoman follows, absorbing feet, trays and the occasional sitter. The chair and loveseat, used in shorter bursts, usually hold their loft longest.

That wear pattern creates the classic replacement dilemma. Ordering piece by piece spreads the cost, but fabric is dyed in batches, and two orders placed months apart can land on either side of a batch boundary — close, but not twins, standing side by side on the same patio. If the whole set is staying, the pragmatic middle path is to group the order around the pieces that sit adjacent: chaise and ottoman first while the budget allows, then the chair and loveseat together as a second lot.

Do not underestimate the ottoman when you plan. At 19.5 x 18.5 inches and a plush 5.5 inches thick, it is among the deepest ottoman pads in the Hampton Bay lines we chart — nearly square, which makes it a stable, tip-resistant extra seat when guests overflow the set. On a pad this thick the side panel is real visual real estate; a welt cord in the same fabric softens the silhouette, while a contrast welt plays up the boxy mid-century shape.

A word on the 6-inch lounge chair, the plush end of the family: it is the deep-sink seat of the set, the one that swallows you after a long day, and its extra loft is structural to that experience. When it is time to replace, resist the urge to normalize it to the 5-inch seats used elsewhere in the line — the chair’s frame was built around the taller pad, and the seat height it produces is the design.

The Pembrey line in full — width, depth, thickness, inches throughout.

What Qty means: "Qty" is the number of separate cushions — the loveseat takes two 23"-wide seats and two 23"-wide backs.
Profile note: Pembrey mixes thicknesses by piece: 6" lounge seat, 5" loveseat seats, 5" chaise seat over a 4" chaise back. Match the row, not the series average.

Nothing matches your piece? Ship us a photo with the measurements — we make custom pads for all Hampton Bay frames. Not sure it’s Pembrey? the full measuring guide covers identifying your series by numbers.

Measure before you order

Before anything else, spend three minutes with our measuring guide — measure thickness first on this line: the 6"/5"/4" mix means two same-looking pads can differ by an inch.

Closest Hampton Bay neighbors in the measured database: Pacific Grove (the Pacific Grove set) and Spring Haven (the Spring Haven four-piece run) — each with its own dimension chart. Frames beyond these two: all Hampton Bay cushion series, each with its own fit chart.

Frequently asked questions

By design: the lounge chair runs a plush 6" seat while loveseat seats are 5". Keep each to its row — flattening the lounge chair to 5" changes the seat height.

Yes — 5" seat under a 4" back, the reverse of most lines. The 42" seat length (shorter than the usual 46"–50") is the other Pembrey chaise tell.

A cover that folds over the front and back edges in one continuous piece — no ties. The Pembrey ottoman (19.5" × 18.5" × 5.5") was built that way, and we reproduce the construction.

Budget 122 at the low end and 136 at the top for the ottoman (complete, all cushions) across 35D to 65D foam densities — every fabric, one price. Your confirmed quote precedes any cutting.

Each cushion is built post-order — a 4-7 business-day make-and-ship window: the production window runs 4–7 business days, with most fabrics eligible for 3–5 day rush service.

Yes. Include a photo of your furniture, and of the original pads if you kept them, with the quote request; we verify the figures against the Pembrey chart before cutting starts.
