The Santa Rosa line at a glance

Santa Rosa is one of Hampton Bay’s most compact patio lines: just a lounge chair and a loveseat, sold through Home Depot. That simplicity made it popular for smaller patios and balconies — and it also means the line was produced in short runs. When the original cushions faded, flattened, or mildewed after a few seasons, replacements were nowhere to be found at retail, because Santa Rosa’s 28-inch loveseat modules match no standard cushion on the shelf.

We rebuild Santa Rosa cushions to the original factory dimensions listed below — including those wide 28" seats — in cotton linen, tech fabric, or premium velvet. Cut, filled, and sewn by the factory that ships them, one piece or the full set.

Check three things: (1) the white label under the seat frame or inside the arm — Hampton Bay model numbers usually start with a supplier code like GLD or THD; (2) your Home Depot order history or the original manual; (3) a tape measure — a 22"-wide lounge seat paired with 28"-wide loveseat modules is the Santa Rosa signature. Our full measuring guide walks you through it.

Low backs, wide modules: Santa Rosa on a small patio

Santa Rosa is a two-shape line — a lounge chair and a loveseat, nothing else — and its proportions are compact on purpose. A 22 × 23 lounge seat under an 18-inch back puts this firmly in the low-back family: the pad supports the lower back and lets the shoulders stay free. That is a conversation posture, not a nap posture. Santa Rosa furniture was bought for morning coffee and card nights on modest patios, and the cushion geometry says so plainly. The 22 × 18 back pads are nearly floor-cushion scale, and owners have long borrowed one off the loveseat for extra seating at a full table — a legitimate second life, and one reason tie condition matters so much on this line.

The loveseat is the wide-module version of the same idea: two 28-inch seat pads, each a full six inches wider than the lounge seat beside it. A pad with room for two adults side by side — with no center seam pressing into anyone’s hip — is a genuinely rare module, and it is the piece that sold the line. Counting it up, six cushions total (lounge seat and back, loveseat seats and backs) cover a complete Santa Rosa set, which makes this one of the least expensive full-line re-cushions in the Hampton Bay catalog.

On a small patio, the cushions are the color scheme — there is less furniture and fewer plants to carry one. Light tones such as White or Light gray canvas open a tight space visually; a saturated Teal makes two pieces read as a deliberate set. Small patios also mean furniture gets moved and stacked often, which argues for olefin’s quick-dry, solution-dyed weave on cushions that live close to the door and get grabbed in every rain. Specify fresh tie loops when ordering if the originals are frayed, and on a balcony where wind funnels between rails, extra tie points are cheaper than watching a light foam pad learn to fly.

Exact-fit figures for the entire Santa Rosa line — width, depth, and thickness in inches.

Reading the Qty column: "Qty" is the number of separate cushions, not one joined pad. The Santa Rosa loveseat takes two 28"-wide seat cushions and two 28"-wide backs — each unusually wide for a Hampton Bay module — so both seats flex independently. Order by the piece and we sew each one to spec.

Measure before you order

Before you order, run through our 3-minute measuring guide — on Santa Rosa, the key check is the loveseat: confirm it really takes two separate 28"-wide seats before ordering.
