The Edington line at a glance
Edington is a Hampton Bay line built around two unusual pieces: a two-seat 48-inch glider bench and an extra-roomy swivel lounge chair, rounded out by a matching ottoman. All three are wonderful furniture — and all three are nearly impossible to re-cushion at retail, because a one-piece 48" bench pad and a 25.25"-wide swivel seat match no standard size on the shelf. When the originals flatten, the usual answer is a whole new set.
We cut Edington cushions to the original factory dimensions below — the full-width glider bench pad, the ottoman, and the swivel chair’s roomy seat and back — in cotton linen, tech fabric, or premium velvet. Made to order by the factory that ships them.
Check three things: (1) the white label under the seat frame or inside the arm — Hampton Bay model numbers usually start with a supplier code like GLD or THD; (2) your Home Depot order history or the original manual; (3) a tape measure — the one-piece 48"-wide glider bench pad and the 25.25" swivel seat are Edington signatures. A glider, a swivel — and one more curve
Edington is a porch line with movement at its heart. The glider bench travels on its own mechanism, and its one-piece 48 x 21.5-inch pad rides along — no ties needed, because the pad’s own weight holds it to the seat deck while the frame does the moving. The swivel lounge chair turns in place under its generous 25.25 x 26.5-inch seat, the back following around with it. Between them sits the ottoman (22 x 20 inches), the one conventionally sized citizen of the trio.
There is a fourth Edington piece that never made the chart: a curved loveseat, which the supplier catalog lists only as ‘as per factory template’ — no published dimensions at all. If your set includes it, the path is a paper template rather than numbers: trace the seat deck’s front arc and back arc on taped-together newspaper, mark the width at both ends and the depth at the deepest point, and send photos of the piece. Curved frames are exactly what shape-based custom cutting is for.
On fabric for a moving set: every slide and swing is a small abrasion event, so the flat-woven canvases outlast deep piles on these frames — the same logic as high-traffic indoor seating. And since the ottoman is the piece that migrates between glider and swivel duty, ordering its cover in a coordinating tone from your main fabric’s color family keeps the trio looking intentional no matter where the ottoman ends up that afternoon.
Two practical closing notes for the big pieces: the 48-inch bench pad stores flat under a bed or on a closet shelf and carries comfortably with a person on each end; and if your glider’s original pad was thicker than five inches, keep to the published loft when replacing — an over-tall pad can brush the arm internals at the extremes of the glide, which shows up as a faint rub line long before anything wears out.
