The Chateau line at a glance

Chateau is a deep-seating Hampton Bay line from Home Depot — a lounge chair, a three-seat sofa, and an ottoman with a distinctive waterfall front: the fabric drops over the edge in one clean piece, no ties, no seam. It’s a tailored look, and it’s also why generic tie-on ottoman pads look wrong on this frame within seconds.

We cut every Chateau piece to the original factory dimensions below, waterfall construction included — in cotton linen, tech fabric, or premium velvet, made where they are shipped from.

Check three things: (1) the white label under the seat frame or inside the arm — Hampton Bay model numbers usually start with a supplier code like GLD or THD; (2) your Home Depot order history or the original manual; (3) a tape measure — a tieless waterfall-front ottoman pad and a sofa seat a half-inch narrower (23.5") than the lounge chair’s 24" — small numbers that identify the line. Our full measuring guide walks you through it.

Chateau, Monticello or Woodbury — telling the look-alikes apart

Three Hampton Bay deep-seating lines get mixed up constantly: Chateau, Monticello and Woodbury all pair a lounge chair with a larger piece on the same chunky 5-inch profile, and photos of them look nearly identical online. If you inherited the set, bought it second-hand, or simply lost the paperwork, one measurement settles it — the width of a sofa seat. Chateau sofa seats run 23.5 inches. Monticello runs a full 25-inch square. Woodbury lands between them at 25.25.

The second checkpoint is which pieces exist in your set. Chateau and Monticello were both sold as chair + sofa + ottoman with no loveseat; Woodbury flips that — chair + loveseat + sofa, and no ottoman in the published line. So a loose ottoman floating around your patio points away from Woodbury, and its construction narrows things further: the Chateau ottoman (24″ x 19″) is a tieless waterfall pad, while the Monticello ottoman (23″ x 17″, 4″ thick) was built with a double welt and a zippered bottom panel.

Why go to this trouble? Because these lines sit within an inch of each other on every dimension, an inch that generic cushions ignore. When you are ready, measure one seat and one back pad, write the numbers down, and keep them with the order — and if a tape measure says you own one of the other two lines instead, the Monticello and Woodbury charts are one click away.

One last measuring discipline that saves round trips: when the old pads still exist, measure them seam to seam at the widest point, not the frame — foam compresses at the edges and frames include lips the cushion never covers. When the pads are gone entirely, measure the frame’s inside edges and take each reading twice, since these three lines differ by margins smaller than most people’s measuring error. A quarter-inch of care here is the difference between a set that drops in and one that goes back.

Chateau cushion sizes — every dimension

>Piece>Part>Qty>Width × Depth × Thickness (in.)
>Lounge Chair>Seat>1>24 × 25.5 × 5
>Lounge Chair>Back>1>24 × 18 × 5
>Sofa>Seat>3>23.5 × 25.5 × 5 (three separate cushions, each 23.5" wide)
>Sofa>Back>3>23.5 × 18 × 5 (three separate cushions, each 23.5" wide)
>Ottoman>Ottoman>1>24 × 19 × 5 (waterfall front/back, no ties)

The full Chateau line, dimension by dimension — width, depth, thickness, all in inches.

What Qty means: "Qty" is the number of separate cushions — the sofa takes three 23.5"-wide seats and three backs, each cut and sewn individually.

Measure before you order

Three minutes and a tape — that and our measuring guide — note the half-inch difference between the lounge chair (24" seat) and the sofa (23.5" seat); close, but not interchangeable.

Closest Hampton Bay neighbors in the measured database: Monticello (the Monticello trio) and Woodbury (the Woodbury lounge set) — each with its own dimension chart. Frames beyond these two: all Hampton Bay cushion series, each with its own fit chart.

Fabric options & estimated pricing

Same exact-fit dimensions, every fabric one price. Three fabric families cover most projects — all fabrics, one price: breathable cotton linen for covered spots, tech fabric for weather, premium velvet for indoor polish.

Comparing tiers side by side? The fabric range in the custom order flow— dimensions unchanged, every fabric one price.

Frequently asked questions

A cover that folds over the front and back edges in one continuous piece — no ties, no separate skirt. The Chateau ottoman (24" × 19" × 5") was built that way, and we reproduce the construction.

Almost — the lounge chair seat is 24" wide, the sofa seats 23.5". That half inch matters on a tailored frame; match the row, not the eyeball.

Yes — every piece is cut to order. Three 23.5" × 18" × 5" backs, dye-matched as closely as the mill allows across batches.

Expect 94 through 457 for the for the ottoman (complete, all cushions) in any fabric — every fabric one price. We confirm the final quote before cutting.

Orders are cut and sewn as they arrive: expect a 4-7 business-day make-and-ship window — 4–7 business days of production, or 3–5 on rush, which most fabrics allow.

Send the photo instead. Upload the furniture (and surviving cushions) with your quote request, and the team checks your dimensions against the Chateau chart above prior to cutting.
