The Laurel Oaks line at a glance

Laurel Oaks is a Hampton Bay line with a difference: it is one of the few series Home Depot itself sold official replacement cushions for — CushionGuard two-piece sets in Putty — which means the published dimensions below trace straight to the manufacturer’s own listings, not a third-party guess.

The line covers a dining chair and a generously scaled chaise: 26 inches wide, 47.75 inches long, on 5.5-inch seat loft with a plusher 6.25-inch back. We cut both pieces to those original dimensions in cotton linen, tech fabric, or premium velvet — made by the factory that ships them.

Check three things: (1) the white label under the seat frame or inside the arm — Hampton Bay model numbers usually start with a supplier code like GLD or THD; (2) your Home Depot order history or the original manual; (3) a tape measure — a 26" × 47.75" chaise seat with 6.25" back loft, or the 20.25" × 22" dining seat — both published by Home Depot itself. Our full measuring guide walks you through it.

Reading the Laurel Oaks numbers: width, loft, and posture

The 26-inch seat width is what separates this chaise from the Hampton Bay pack. Across the 31 collections we document, chaise seats cluster between 22 and 24.5 inches — Verrado sits at a narrow 22, Spring Haven and Pacific Grove at 23.5, Oak Cliff at 24.5. Laurel Oaks runs a full 26. On the cushion that translates to two concrete effects: room to shift position without an arm rail pressing into your hip, and enough pad on either side that the tie points stay clear of your elbows when you roll toward an arm.

The back cushion tells a second story. At 27.25 inches tall on 6.25 inches of loft, it is the thickest chaise back we have measured on any Hampton Bay line — most run a flat 5 inches. Tall and thick together means the pad reaches shoulder-blade height and holds its dome instead of sagging into a hammock curve by midsummer. The dining chairs invert that priority on purpose: a modest 20.25 × 22 seat on 4.25 inches of loft keeps you upright at the table, which is exactly the job of a dining pad. The dining side rewards the same close reading: each back pad runs 20 × 19.5 on 4.75 inches of loft — thicker than the seat under it, an unusual inversion that gives these chairs an upholstered presence for nominally outdoor furniture.

Because the line is only two pieces, most orders here are complete re-cushions — a run of dining chairs plus one or two chaises. One tactic worth adopting: order the chaise pair together even if only one looks tired. A 26 × 47.75 pad is the largest single color field on most patios, and a two-season age gap between the two shows in the fabric long before it shows in the foam. On quantities: Laurel Oaks dining sets were sold in six-chair runs, and dining pads die in use-order, not set-order — order the two end chairs first, since they are the ones that get sat in, and the middle four may still have seasons left.

Qty, decoded: "Qty" is the number of separate cushions — each piece is a two-piece set (one seat, one back), and each row is one cushion.

Measure before you order

Give it three minutes with our measuring guide — on the chaise, measure the seat deck from hinge to footrest edge and check the width at the arm: Laurel Oaks runs a wide 26".

Closest Hampton Bay neighbors in the measured database: Middletown (the Middletown four-piece line) and Palm Canyon (the Palm Canyon set) — each with its own dimension chart. Every measured set is on our Hampton Bay series list.

Fabric options

Same custom-fit dimensions, every fabric one price. Cotton linen is the durable everyday pick; tech fabric is water-resistant and wipes clean; premium velvet delivers the high-end look and stands up to cat claws.

Frequently asked questions

The official CushionGuard two-piece sets in Putty have rotated out of stock in most regions. We cut to the same published dimensions, in your choice of fabric and color.

Seat loft is 5.5" on the chaise and 4.25" on the dining seats; backs run 6.25" (chaise) and 4.75" (dining). Loft is cushion thickness — measure your old pad at the edge, not the sewn seam.

Two: a 20.25" × 22" seat over a 20" × 19.5" back. That two-piece format is the original configuration.

Pricing comes from our instant quote tool — enter your piece count and dimensions for a factory-direct estimate in seconds.
