Description
Custom RV dinette cushions - L-shaped camper booth with new firm gray seat and back pads

Replacement cushions for RV dinettes, motorhome booths, and camper seating — cut to the exact dimensions you measure, never to a size chart. Factory dinette pads are usually thin, low-density foam in basic fabric, and a few seasons of road trips and every-night-as-a-bed use is all it takes to flatten them. Send us three numbers per piece and a photo, and we cut new high-density cushions that fit your booth exactly.

  • Factory Direct — The workshop that cuts it is the one that ships it
  • 119 Fabrics — Every fabric on the list, open in the configurator
  • ±½″ Tolerance — Measured cuts, not stock-chart guesses
  • Remake Free — Miss on our side and the remake is free

Why RV Dinette Cushions Give Out First

An RV dinette is the hardest-working seat in the vehicle. It is breakfast table, office, and card table by day; half the time it folds down into the guest bed as well. That double duty is exactly why the stock pads quit early — the thin foam cores that ship from the factory are sized for occasional use, not for a family eating every meal on them and sleeping on the fold-down three nights a week.

The road makes it worse. Vibration works the foam loose inside the cover, humidity swings between hot afternoons and cold nights break down cheap filling, and the booth’s corner geometry means one collapsed seat cushion makes the whole U feel tired. The frame underneath — plywood, solid edges, sound hardware — almost always outlives the foam by decades.

And there is no such thing as a “standard” dinette size to shop for. Every chassis maker, converter, and trailer brand cuts its own booth: widths land anywhere from the low forties to fifty-plus inches across, seat depths vary by inches, and a universal big-box pad will gap at the corners or overhang the edge. That is why the honest fix is measured replacement, not shelf shopping.

Why order from a mill instead

Every cushion is cut after you order, from your measurements: high-density foam in the density you pick, in any of 119 fabrics, sewn to a quarter-inch tolerance. If a piece lands outside that tolerance, we remake it free. The customizer above prices your exact dimensions in real time — no quote wait, no email ping-pong before you see a number.

RV Dinette Cushion Dimensions — What We Typically See

Piece Typical range Notes
Booth seat (per piece) 22–24 in. W × 20–24 in. D × 3–5 in. T Most booths split into two seats plus a shorter end piece
Booth back 22–24 in. W × 18–20 in. H × 3–4 in. T Upright pads; usually the same width as the seat below
Full-width bench pad 44–49 in. W × 18–22 in. D × 4–5 in. T Aftermarket sets sell 48 in. four-packs; U-shaped sets run near 49 in.
Fold-down bed conversion Seat + back joined Order both pieces the same thickness so the bed lies flat

Pricing — estimated starting at

Piece Example size (W × D × T) Foam Estimated price*
Booth seat 24 × 24 × 4 in. 50D $163
Booth back 24 × 20 × 3 in. 50D $136
Full-width bench pad 48 × 20 × 4 in. 50D $241
Typical 4-piece booth set 2 seats + 2 backs 50D ≈ $598

*Per piece, calculated live in the customizer with the exact numbers you enter: a $45 cutting charge per piece, foam priced by density and thickness, and fabric at one flat $7.43/sq ft across all 119 options. Change the thickness or density in the tool and the price updates instantly — these anchors are honest arithmetic, not teaser rates.

Rethinking a whole interior? Seats, backs, lounge benches, and mattress toppers can ship in one order, and the customizer prices each piece as you add it — no bundle guesswork.

Foam & Thickness for Dinette Duty

Foam Best for Typical thickness
35D Weekend campers, seasonal trips 3 in.
50D Regular travel, mixed sit-and-sleep use 3–4 in.
60D Full-timers, nightly fold-down beds 4–5 in.

If the dinette doubles as your bed, treat it as a mattress decision, not a seat decision: 60D foam holds a sleeping body without bottoming out, and matching thickness across the seat and back pieces keeps the fold-down flat instead of ridged. Daytime-only booths are comfortably served by 50D at 3–4 inches.

How to Measure Your Dinette Cushions

Take the old cushion off the frame and lay it flat — measuring in place hides the edges that matter.

Measuring RV dinette cushion width with a soft cloth tape across a flat gray seat pad
  • Width — seam to seam at the widest point, tape flat on the fabric.
  • Depth — front seam to back seam.
  • Thickness — bottom to top with the foam resting naturally, not squeezed.

One photo of the piece beside a tape measure catches anything the numbers miss — corners, notches, hinge lines. If the booth converts to a bed, measure every piece and keep the thickness identical. We cut to a ±½″ tolerance and remake free if a piece misses it.

Fabrics for Life in an RV

An RV interior is a small, closed space with humidity swings and real living happening on it — coffee at 7 a.m., muddy boots at noon, spaghetti at 7 p.m. The fabrics that survive are the ones you can wipe down and forget:

  • Tech Fabric — waterproof, wipe-clean, the workhorse for dinettes that see daily meals and road dust.
  • Cotton Linen — the soft, natural look for booths that live mostly in mild, dry conditions.
  • Pet-friendly weaves — travel with a dog? These resist snags and claw-pulls and forgive fur.
  • Chenille & velvet — for the looks, in rigs where the dinette is more lounge than mess hall.

All 119 options price at the same flat rate, so pick by how you travel, not by budget tier. Ordering two close colorways and keeping one as the spare set is a popular move for full-timers.

Pieces We Cut for RVs & Campers

  • Dinette booth seats and backs — two-piece, three-piece, or U-shaped
  • Full-width rear lounge bench pads
  • Fold-down bed conversions (seat + back at matched thickness)
  • Storage bench and cabinet-top pads
  • Captain’s-chair back bolsters and odd remnants of older conversions

Unusual geometry is normal work: T-shapes, L-shapes, and notched corners are all selectable in the customizer. For truly odd pieces — curved corner booths, tapered van-conversion benches — send a paper template tracing with your order and we cut to the line.

Frequently asked questions

How do I measure RV dinette cushions for replacement?

Take each piece off the frame and measure width and depth seam to seam, then thickness from bottom to top with the foam at rest. Measure every piece separately — booth ends are often shorter than the main seats — and snap one photo per piece. If the booth converts to a bed, keep thickness identical across pieces so the bed lies flat.

What foam density is best for an RV dinette that doubles as a bed?

For nightly sleeping, 60D: it holds body weight all night without bottoming out. For weekend and seasonal use, 50D at 3–4 inches is the honest standard. 35D suits rigs that see the occasional trip.

Can I order just the covers, not the foam?

Yes — we sew replacement covers to your seam-to-seam measurements in the same 119 fabrics, with zippers where the original had them. If your old cover still exists, mail it to us and we pattern from it directly. One test before you decide: press the seat hard — if your hand feels the plywood deck through the foam, replace the foam too.

Do the covers come off for washing?

Every cover unzips for washing. That matters in an RV, where one spilled soup can otherwise mean a full re-upholstery.

Will custom cushions fit my slide-out dinette?

Yes — the booth geometry does not change the process. You send the numbers for each piece exactly as it sits in the slide-out, including any angled or notched corners, and we cut to them within ±½″.

How thick should RV dinette cushions be?

3–5 inches is the working range. Four inches is the everyday sweet spot for seating; five adds lounge depth and sleep comfort, provided the booth still clears the table base when folded.

How long do custom dinette cushions take?

Standard builds leave the workshop in 4–7 days, rush builds in 3–5, with shipping typically 3–6 weeks. Your order confirmation states the exact dates for your build slot.

Can you match a curved or unusual booth corner?

T-shapes, L-shapes, and notched corners are built into the customizer. For curved corner booths, send a paper template tracing of the piece laid on the booth deck and we cut to your line.
