The lounge chair is the most widely shared piece across the Hampton Bay range — 18 of the 24 measured series ship one, and almost none of them share dimensions. Seat widths run 22 to 25.25 inches, seat depths 23 to 27, and thickness anywhere from 3.5 to 6 inches. That spread is why “universal” lounge pads disappoint: a 24 × 24 cushion on a 25.25 × 26.5 Edington frame slides, and a 6-inch Beverly pad on a Riley chair lifts your knees above the table.

When the same name hides four different seats
“Lounge chair” on a Hampton Bay box covers everything from a slim 3.5-inch Riley pad to a 6-inch Beverly build. That 2.5-inch thickness gap changes seat height under your legs — ordering by name alone is the number-one cause of misfit replacements. The chart below lists thickness per series precisely because it varies this much.
Depth is the second trap. Spring Haven swivel chairs carry a 27-inch deck while Santa Rosa stops at 23 — a 4-inch difference in thigh support that no amount of tucking fixes. Measure depth from the front rail to the seat back, not the frame exterior.
Two series use swivel bases (Edington, Spring Haven) and one is trapezoid (Pacific Grove — 25 inches at the front edge, 22 at the back). A trapezoid cushion cut as a rectangle bunches at the back within a season. West Park’s “lounge chair” listing is a cover only, at 31 × 24.25 — a different animal from a full cushion.
The safe path is the same for all 18: pull the old cushion, measure width × depth × thickness edge to edge, and match against the chart. Your tape beats the label every time — frame generations within a series occasionally drift by half an inch.

Why do lounge chair thicknesses vary from 3.5 to 6 inches?
Hampton Bay positioned different series at different price and comfort points — the Riley runs a slim 3.5-inch seat while Beverly and Pembrey carry 6-inch plush builds. Substituting a thinner pad lowers seat height and changes the look; substituting a thicker one can push your knees awkwardly high. Match the OEM thickness.
Can I order just one lounge chair cushion?
Yes. Any piece, any fabric, no minimums — a single seat, a single back, or the pair. If you’re replacing one piece of an adjacent pair, ordering both together keeps the dye lot consistent.
