The Cedar Island line at a glance

Cedar Island is one of Martha Stewart’s richest lines at Home Depot: a dining set, a deep-seating group, a wide 26-inch chaise, and — rare for patio furniture — a recliner with its own slim footrest cushion. Six piece types, three different cushion thicknesses, and no replacements on the shelf once the series rotated out.

We make every Cedar Island piece to the original factory dimensions below, thickness by thickness: 4.5" dining pads, 5" deep-seating, the 4" recliner set with its 1.5" footrest. cotton linen, tech fabric, or premium velvet, cut and sewn by the maker that sends them.

Every dimension field accepts decimals down to the quarter inch, and the running estimate recalculates as you type. What leaves this bench weekly: lone seats and backs, full matched sets, split seat blocks on multi-seat frames, notched corners that clear trim, and thickness anywhere from 2 to 8 inches — one per-square-foot formula covers them all, so no shape carries a surcharge.

Dining to reclining: four postures in one Cedar Island program

Cedar Island is the only Martha Stewart line on this site that spans four seating postures — upright dining, deep-seating, a wide chaise, and a recliner. The chart sorts them by thickness for a reason. Dining pairs run a 4.5-inch build on 22 × 24 seats; the deep-seating pieces step up to 5 inches on 22 × 24.5 seats; the recliner drops to a 4-inch build on a 22.75 × 21.5 base. Thickness follows posture: a slimmer dining pad holds seat height for eating, while the 5-inch build carries the laid-back geometry the deep-seating group was designed around.
Notice how much geometry the line shares before ordering piece by piece. The swivel lounge chair, the loveseat seats, and the four-piece set all use the same 22 × 24.5 × 5 seat with a 22 × 19.5 × 5 back — one pair of numbers covers three different frames. The recliner is the outlier. Its back stands 28 inches tall, higher even than the chaise back at 26.5, and its footrest is a 22.75 × 10.75 sliver just 1.5 inches thick — the smallest pad in the line and the one most exposed to concentrated foot load.
Owners holding both Cedar Island and Lily Bay tags often cannot tell which set is which. One reading settles it: Cedar Island seats run 22 inches wide and 24.5 deep against the true 24 × 24 square Lily Bay used, and backs differ at 19.5 versus 18 high. Lily Bay never shipped a dining chair, so any dining pad in your stack points here already. The chaise gap is wider — 26 inches of seat width against 22.5 — making the two longest pads in the Martha Stewart program a full 3.5 inches apart.
Two more chart details close the identification. The dining backs stand 20 inches tall — half an inch above the deep-seating backs at 19.5, a quick visual tell between the dining pair and the lounge group even when pads are stacked flat. The chaise seat, at 26 inches wide, is the widest chaise pad anywhere in the Martha Stewart chart; only the day bed in the Lake Adele line runs wider overall. Keep those two anchors in mind and every other piece in the line falls into place by elimination.

Three minutes with a tape measure before ordering saves a remake — our measuring guide — especially on the chaise: measure the seat deck from the back hinge to the footrest edge; at 49" long and 26" wide, Cedar Island is one of the roomiest chaises Martha Stewart made.

Closest Martha Stewart neighbors in the measured database: Charlottetown (the Charlottetown seven-piece line) and Lake Adele (the Lake Adele day-bed set) — each with its own dimension chart.

Every measured collection in the line is charted on the Martha Stewart replacement index.

Is your set really Cedar Island?

Check three things: (1) the white label under the seat frame or inside the arm — model numbers usually start with a supplier code like GLD or THD; (2) your Home Depot order history or the original manual; (3) a tape measure — Cedar Island runs a wider-than-typical 26" chaise seat and a three-part recliner set few other lines have. Our full measuring guide walks you through it.

Cedar Island chaise seats run a wide 26" × 49". If yours measures 22.5"–23.5" wide, you likely own a different series — send us a photo and we’ll identify it.

Same width, different pads. Dining chairs take 4.5"-thick cushions with a 20"-deep back; lounge pieces run 5" thick with a 19.5" back. Measure thickness before ordering.

The clock begins at the cutting table, not before: a 4-7 business-day make-and-ship window — figure 4–7 business days of crafting standard, or 3–5 on the rush line, plus shipping. The 3–5 day rush applies to the majority of fabrics.
