How to Measure a Dining Chair Cushion
- Width and depth of the old cushion, seam to seam, to the nearest quarter inch — measure the core if you can; otherwise measure the cover flat and say so on the order.
- Thickness 2.5–3 inches: match the original — thinner bottoms out under adult weight, thicker lifts the sitter above the height the table was designed for.
- Note the corners: radius corners get the radius measured; a 0 means square — say which. Front edges are sometimes rounded more than the back.
- Count the ties and where they attach; ties are sewn into the seam, so they belong on the order form, not added later with a needle.
