Stupendous is the sink-in jumbo-cord sectional from Alloy by Ashley — configured from two to six pieces, always with a chaise, in a chunky retro corduroy over feather-blend cushions. The 2-piece with chaise runs 141 inches wide by 67 deep by 41 tall; the 6-piece build sprawls to 134 × 174. The super-chaise variant publishes a 26-inch seat depth.
That feather-blend fill is the whole replacement story: feather-blend cushions feel incredible new and flatten relentlessly — the mix migrates, clumps and packs down until the sit is a fabric bag on a platform. Feather-blend is a comfort-first fill — down and fiber blended for softness, not support. Every sit pushes the blend away from the load point; over a couple of years the center packs flat, the edges stay fluffy, and no amount of fluffing redistributes it for long. It is not a defect; it is the material.
The rebuild choice: a 45–50D foam core sized to the original thickness restores the loft permanently; a foam core with a fiber wrap keeps some of the sink-in feel. Either way the cover stays the original jumbo cord — we cut to your measured blocks in any of 119 fabrics if the cord itself is worn too.
Configuration note: Stupendous runs 2-piece to 6-piece with different module sets (LAF corner chaise, armless chairs, wedges). Two same-name sectionals can have different cushion counts — count and measure every distinct block rather than assuming a layout.
