Dutailier Grand Replacement Cushions
Grand is Dutailier’s oversized glider scale — Aspen Grand, Joanna Grand, Margot Grand — with seat boxes wider than the numbered classics and no published pad chart. Here’s how to confirm yours and order replacement cushions cut to your own three measurements.
The Grand line at a glance
The Grand scale sits above Dutailier’s classic gliders: roomier seat boxes built for full-recline comfort, sold under collection names rather than the numbered system — Aspen Grand, Joanna Grand, Margot Grand and sibling rocking chairs. The wider geometry is the constant; the pads are the part that flattens first.
So we don’t guess. Confirm the model with the cues below, measure the old pad — not the frame — and we cut Grand replacement cushions to your figures in any of 119 fabrics, built by the workshop that ships them.
Check three things: (1) the sticker — Dutailier model stickers sit on the frame underside or inside the arm rail, and Grand models carry the name outright; (2) the size — a seat box clearly wider than the 19–20″ classic pads marks the Grand scale; (3) your order record — Grand gliders sold through juvenile and furniture dealers into the 2010s. Our full measuring guide walks you through it.
How to tell you have the Grand
Start with the scale: Grand seats read oversized in the room — wide enough that the classic 19–20″ replacement pads swim in them. The arms sit further apart, and the back pads run taller to match the roomier shells.
Lean on the sticker: Dutailier gliders carry a model sticker on the wood under the cushion or inside the arm. Grand models name themselves — Aspen Grand, Joanna Grand, Margot Grand — and the sticker carries the serial the maker’s network asks for.
Don’t confuse it with: the numbered classics (61B, 826, 827…) at standard width, and the upholstered swivels (Lula, Kallia, Nolita) whose integrated upholstery has no loose pads to replace at all.
Era matters: the official Dutailier replacement program — $229 CAD a chair set — ended June 2023. Grand-era owners now choose between resale stock, universal pads that hang off the frame, and a measured rebuild.
Why there is no official Grand size chart
Dutailier charted the numbered classics, not the named Grand scale — what the reference program listed before it ended:
No Grand row exists — the wider seat boxes were never charted, which makes your old pad the only reliable spec. Rather than republish guesses, we leave the size chart out on purpose: measure your own piece and we cut to your numbers.
Sticker gone? Send a photo of the glider with a tape across the seat — the scale and the arm shape usually name the model family.
Measure before you order
Measure first: three minutes with our measuring guide — width, depth, and thickness at the seam of the old pad, not the frame. Grand seat boxes are wider than the classics, so the pad itself is the spec.
The numbered classics and the full glider background sit on the Dutailier page.
Fabric options & estimated pricing
Same measured cut, every fabric one price. Cotton linen is the durable everyday pick; tech fabric is water-resistant and wipes clean; premium velvet delivers the high-end look and stands up to cat claws. The fabric menu inside the order flow keeps the cut identical, every fabric one price.
Custom cushions are estimated from $212 a chair set and scale with size and foam density (35D to 65D) — every fabric one price, the final quote settled at checkout, nothing cut before your numbers are confirmed. Covers close with a zippered closure (covers remove for washing).

Frequently asked questions
Does Dutailier still sell Grand cushions?
Not anymore. The official Dutailier replacement program ended June 2023 at $229 CAD a chair set — and the Grand scale was never charted in it. We rebuild Grand cushions from scratch, to your measurements.
Will universal cushions fit a Dutailier Grand piece?
They hang off the frame — literally. Universal glider pads attach with ties to standard-width seats; on the wider Grand boxes they gap at the arms and slide under use.
How do I confirm my set is really Grand?
The model sticker under the seat or inside the arm names the family outright; the width of the seat box separates Grand from the numbered classics in one tape measurement.
Can you make cushions without official specs?
Yes — that is our normal route for uncharted lines. You measure width, depth, and thickness per cushion; we re-verify the numbers against the piece count before cutting and sew to your figures.
How much do Grand replacement cushions cost?
Custom pieces are estimated from $212 per typical piece and scale with size and foam density (35D to 65D) — every fabric one price, final quote confirmed before anything is cut.
How long do they take to make and ship?
Every set is cut and sewn after you order — crafted in 4–7 business days, rush service 3–5 business days, then flat-rate shipping to your door.
