How to Measure a Banquette
- L-shape: measure both arms along the outside — total long-arm length, total short-arm length — plus seat depth.
- Back cushions are a separate order (and separate line item) from seat pads: measure each.
- Daily-use seating wants high-density foam; commercial use can go firmer still — specify at checkout.
- Radiator pipes or table legs in the run? That’s a notched piece — send the cutout position and dimensions.

Frequently asked questions
How do I measure an L-shaped banquette?
Two numbers along the outside: the total length of the long arm and the total length of the short arm, plus the seat depth. Measure the cushion flat if you have the old one; otherwise measure the deck edge to edge and subtract 1/4 inch.
Can I get just a seat cushion, or seat and back?
Either. Most home nooks order seat-only pads on a wood back; restaurant booths usually replace seat and back together so the foam profile matches. Order them as separate line items in the same fabric.
What foam density do banquettes need?
High-density foam, standard for anything used daily. Softer foam feels plush in the showroom and bottoms out in a season of family dinners. We default high-density and can go firmer for commercial use.
Can I order standard banquette cushion sizes?

The measuring method (both arms along the outside, corner checked for square) is identical.
Can you match an existing booth's foam profile?
Usually — measure the seat’s thickness at the front edge and the back’s loft at top and bottom (booth backs are often wedge-profiled), and we cut to those numbers. Where a profile involves channels or attached trim beyond the cushion itself, send a photo and we will confirm what transfers to our build before you order.
